Canon PowerShot SD1300
I recently went on a last minute road trip. I wanted to buy a camera so I could document the trip. I went to J and R Electronics in New York City to pick out a digital camera. I ended up buying the Canon PowerShot SD1300 IS. I could not be happier with my purchase! The SD1300 has 12.1 megapixels and 4x zoom. The back has a 2.7 inch LCD screen. The buttons are pretty large and easy to press, which is good when you want to take pictures quickly.
It is light enough to carry around all day without it being a bother. Also, it fits nicely into my purse so I don’t have to worry about getting an extra case for it. The pictures I have taken come out nice! They are almost all clear and well focused. Pictures where the flash was needed come out well too. The colors in my pictures look sharp.
My biggest complaint about this camera is that there is no view finder. This makes it difficult to take great pictures when it is super sunny out. The LCD screen is nice and useful most of the time, but in extremely sunny situations, it can be a bit difficult to see the screen. I have used the camera on and off all day several times, and the battery lasts all day. I just recharge it at the end of the night! It would be nice if the camera took AA or AAA batteries so I could easily replace the battery if necessary, but I am pleased with the battery life.
I also wish the camera came in purple, but most digital cameras do not. Overall, I am very happy with the
Canon PowerShot SD1300 IS and would recommend it to anyone looking for an easy-to-use, light, affordable digital camera that takes good pictures.
