Nikon Coolpix L110 12MP Digital Camera
I have a Nikon Coolpix L110, I bought it last November, and while I think it is a good camera I'm disappointed I didn't shell out $200 more for a DSLR. It takes fine pictures but work just as well as a lower priced camera, I got it to use while I work on improving my photography and it just doesn't have the ability to customize a shot how I'd like.
The pictures come out very clear and it has a very quick shutter. Outdoors pictures especially turn out well. The shooting settings it has allow for some creative indoor shots(a great many of the settings are unnecessary and will only get used experimentally) but it really doesn't respond well to unnatural light. The built in flash if not diffused over exposes everything.
It has trouble focusing in the macro mode which I use most, it seems to set a focal length and then refuse to change it.
The
Nikon Coolpix L110 camera does not have an apperature priority setting which I believed it did before I purchased it so it is very difficult to control the depth of field. I like the weight and size of the camera and it seems fairly sturdy. But it just isn't as great as they make it out to be, either move a step up to a DSLR or choose a cheaper point and shoot. Also, it is constantly asking if my wife blinked in a photo when she hadn't.
