Nikon Coolpix S200 - The Zoom Is Not That Good

I have a Nikon Coolpix S200 camera that was purchased about two years ago. I debated a long time over whether or not I should get a digital camera or a camcorder. The digital camera ended up being more cost effective, so that is what I purchased.
It was actually exactly what I wanted. Most digital cameras have the capability to record videos with sound anyways, so it was perfect. I have found that sometimes the picture can come out blurry, but using the flash seems to fix this problem even if the subject is moving.
My Nikon Coolpix S200 digital camera has the auto flash option, so it only uses it when its needed. In addition to this, the camera has an instant playback of the picture most recently taken so that it can be saved or deleted. It can also zoom in on the pictures to give you a better idea of what it would look like in a larger format.
I actually still have the same camera since there has not been a reason to purchase another. The new cameras do not have many new options, so it seemed more cost efficient to stay with the one I have. It has been surprisingly durable, so it is also still in great condition and working order.
Since this camera was bought in store, I had the opportunity to ask the workers which one they would recommend for cost and quality of pictures.
I have found it to be of best use on outdoor shots. It does well indoor too, but the quality of the pictures in the sunlight seems to be better. Action shots are a little more difficult since they tend to be blurry unless I am using the flash.
Even though this Nikon Coolpix S200 camera does have the option to zoom, the close-up shots are not as good quality as they would be just standing closer.
