Water Droplets On My Cap

Water Droplets On My Cap

I was trying to capture something completely different and unknown. I didn't have anything particular in my mind but knew I wanted to do something new and inspiring. It was like a rendering...you do not know ultimately what you are going to do...but yes you have a pretty clear picture in your mind.

I was going to produce something special for sure...so here it is..:) The backdrop is a picture which I framed for my exhibition "Golden Evening With Flamingo".

Just Wondering

That is a great picture. Very creative. I love taking pictures and I was wondering how you blur the background like that. Can you help me please?

Blurred Background
by: Mark McKnight

Hi Brittany,

To blur the background, you need to set your lens to the largest aperture setting and experiment to see how large it needs to be. For example if you take a picture with the setting at f1.8, you should see the background blurred out. Some lenses only go as far as f3.5 so it may be harder to blur the background.

The detail of the droplets and background color are truly beautiful.
